Quest TruTec's EMAT technology can be used to examine the full circumference of long runs of exposed piping. This method provides valuable data identifying the location of defects in piping to plant inspection, engineering or maintenance personnel. Quest TruTec uses a couplant-free EMAT (electromagnetic-acoustic-transducers) technology to send and detect ultrasonic vibrations through steel piping or plate that can be performed on-stream or during a shutdown.
