JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Field Technician, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Operations Manager
Summary: Assists with all phases in the execution of specific inspection jobs, including, but not limited to, the pre-job, on-job and post-job responsibilities. Phases of these inspection jobs will be carried out from their base location and on customer’s job sites using state-of-the-art laser-based and advanced automated ultrasonic inspection equipment. While not performing inspections jobs, responsibilities will also include equipment maintenance, running errands and general housekeeping.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Pre-job responsibilities will include in assisting with the calibration, packing and transportation of inspection equipment.
- On-job duties will include assisting with the setup or re-calibration of inspection equipment, gathering inspection data, repairing equipment (if needed), cleaning, rigging down and re-packing of the equipment. Also included will be assisting with the processing of the inspection data and generation of the field report.
- Post-job responsibilities will include assisting with the unpacking of the inspection equipment, including cleaning, checking in and recalibration of the equipment as needed. Also included may be assisting with the processing of inspection data and generation of the final report as directed.
- Equipment maintenance and general housekeeping.
- Make safety a top priority at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude and prior experience in the hi-tech, field service or petrochemical industry.
- Excellent ability to represent the company in a professional manner with regard to communicating and interfacing with clients and capable of maintaining confidentiality.
- Must have the ability to travel upwards of 80% of the time during peak periods.
- Must be customer focused and possess excellent attention to detail skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
- In order to interpret graphic inspection results, must be able to distinguish different shades and combination of colors, such as green, red, yellow and blue.
- In order to comply with customer requirements for the use of respirators while onsite performing inspections, the technician must be willing to remove facial hair.
- Possess intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Working Conditions:
Involves field service work within a petrochemical and utility environment, involving exposure to heavy industrial equipment. No fear of heights or confined spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Extensive travel (upwards of 80%), both domestically and internationally. Long hours while in field (7 days a week at 12 -16 hours a day).
